Smoky Chili Chicken

Smoky Chili Chicken

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 500g Boneless chicken thighs (preferred for juiciness) or breast

  • 2 tbsp Blaze Well Spice Blend (This replaces the chili powder, paprika, cayenne, and lime juice)

  • 1 tsp Cumin powder

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

  • 1 tsp Onion powder

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

  • 1 tsp Salt (Adjust to taste, as Blaze Well already contains high-quality sea salt)

  • ½ tsp Black pepper

👩🍳 How to Cook

  1. Prepare the "Blaze" Rub In a small bowl, combine the Blaze Well blend with the mushroom powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

  2. Marinate the Chicken Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken, then toss with the spice mixture. Because Blaze Well features a "built-in" citrus note, the spices will begin tenderizing the meat immediately. Let it marinate for 20–30 minutes.

  3. The Sear Heat a heavy skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Place the chicken in the pan; the sugars and peppers in the Blaze Well blend will create a beautiful, dark-orange charred crust.

  4. Cook & Rest Cook for 5–7 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 75°C. Crucial Step: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring every bite is succulent.

  5. Slice & Serve Slice against the grain into thin strips.

🌮 Serving Ideas

  • The Blaze Taco: Pile into charred corn tortillas with sliced avocado and pickled red onions.

  • The Power Bowl: Serve over cilantro-lime rice with black beans and roasted corn.

  • The "Rush" Wrap: Combine with fresh greens and a dollop of Greek yogurt (mixed with a pinch more Blaze Well!) in a toasted flour tortilla.

⏱ Cooking Time

  • Total Time: 25–30 minutes (including marination).
