Ingredients
Protein: 1 lb New York Strip or Sirloin Steak
The Rub: 2 tbsp Scarlet Rush, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tbsp olive oil
The Base: 4 cups mixed greens (romaine, spinach, spring mix)
Toppings: 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, 1/2 cucumber, 3 radishes, 1 Fresno pepper, 1 avocado
Finishing: 1/4 cup blue cheese, 2 tbsp red wine vinaigrette
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Marinate
Pat the steak dry. Rub with minced garlic, olive oil, and 1 tbsp of Scarlet Rush. Let it rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
2. High-Heat Sear
Heat your grill or skillet to 500°F. Sear the steak for 2 minutes per side. You want a dark, spicy crust while keeping the inside juicy.
3. Rest
Transfer the steak to a board and let it rest for 5–8 minutes. This locks in the juices.
4. Assemble
Toss your greens in a large bowl with half the vinaigrette. Top with the tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, peppers, and avocado.
5. Slice & Season
Slice the steak against the grain. Lay it over the greens and sprinkle the remaining 1 tbsp of Scarlet Rush over the warm slices.
6. Serve
Add the blue cheese and a final drizzle of vinaigrette.
