This Chili-Lemon Herb Salmon & Orzo is a quick, restaurant-quality one-pan dinner! Golden seared salmon with a smoky kick from Blaze Well chili powder, served over creamy orzo with spinach and fresh lemon.
Ingredients
- 2 large salmon fillets
- 1 tsp Blaze Well Chili Powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt & black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream (optional)
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1 lemon (half juiced, half sliced)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or herbs, chopped
Instructions
- Season the salmon fillets with Blaze Well Chili Powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the salmon for 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and toast the orzo with minced garlic until lightly golden.
- Add broth and lemon juice. Simmer covered for 8–10 minutes until orzo is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and fresh spinach until wilted.
- Place the salmon back on top, add lemon wheels, cover for 2 minutes, and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve hot.
